Safford, AZ Sulphur Plant Construction Back on Track
April 27, 2010 – Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold is in the works to get construction moving on their $150 million sulphur-burning plant in Safford, Arizona. The project had been on hold due to the ailing economy, but now the project at the Dos Pobres copper mine is expected to break ground in the coming month. It has been estimated that the project could employ as many as 250 local tradesmen, like Safford general contractors and Safford Electricians.
The fast-tracked construction project is aiming for a 2011 completion.
