$20M Museum Planned for Chandler, AZ
December 10, 2009 - Though a start date for the project has not yet been set, a $20 million Tolerance & Holocaust Museum is planned for construction in Chandler, Arizona. The 70,000 square-foot complex has secured all of its funding from private donations, and the city of Chandler is expected to allocate $2 million for city improvements to meet the needs of the museum. This project will bring relief to Chandler construction contractors who have been suffering through the ongoing recession.
The museum will be built on 4.6 acres southwest of Alma School and Ray roads, where infrastructure improvements are planned for 2011, according to the city. The museum and related projects are expected to be competitively bid by everyone from Chandler general contractors to Chandler electricians.
