Corpus Christi contractors in need of reliable employment should help pressure state officials to get Proposition 6 and 8 passed.

The passing of Proposition 8 would allocate state funds to help in the building of the proposed federal veterans’ hospital.  The state of Texas has one of the nation’s highest populations of military veterans, with 1.7 million.  Local contractors, including Corpus Christi electricians and Corpus Christi HVAC contractors, should contract the Veterans Land Board as soon as the construction of the VA hospital starts to gain momentum.

November 23, 2009 – The City Council of Corpus Christi, Texas has approved a contract for the construction of a $50 million wastewater treatment facility which is expected to bring over 30 construction jobs to the area. The plant will be built in the Neighborhood of Hillcrest and will replace the existing plant which was built in 1936. Corpus Christi contractors are excited to see this large public works project finally awarded so that construction may move forward.

The new plant will have the ability to treat nearly 8 million gallons of waste water a day. The project is likely to break ground in two months time, and the total scope of the planned development will take 3 years to complete. The construction should have several subcontracting positions open for Corpus Christi electricians and other Corpus Christi construction contractors.
