Santa Rosa Construction of Railroad Square Gets Help from Fed

July 2, 2009 - The enormous Santa Rosa construction project known as Railroad Square moved closer to fruition, acquiring $15 million in stimulus funding from the federal government. The first phase of the $180 million, three phase development is expected to break ground around the middle of 2010.  The project will bring much needed relief to Santa Rosa contractors.

Railroad Square, when all said and done, is expected to have 279 housing units, a 10,000 square-foot mall, and a 40,000 square-foot public market area.  With money being contributed now at all levels (city, state, and federal), the project seems to be full steam ahead.  All qualified subcontractors, from Santa Rosa plumbers to Santa Rosa electricians, should pursue this fantastic opportunity.
