91 Expansion Good News for Orange County Construction

June 9th, 2009 – In September, construction will begin on a new, eastbound lane for Highway 91. The lane will run from Corona to Orange County, specifically from Highway 71 to Highway 241.

The $71.4 million project is expected to create nearly 2,000 jobs for Santa Ana contractors and Corona contractors, and greatly increase the traffic capacity of the eastbound 91.

The Orange County Transportation Authority announced that Caltrans is expected to begin requesting bids from subcontractors in July.
