Oakland Contractors to See Construction of Senior Community

July 20th, 2009 – Construction is full speed ahead for the large senior living community of Berrellesa Palms, located in the city of Martinez. If all stays on track, the project is set to break ground in the fall of 2010, and shall be completed in the winter of 2011.

The $18.5 million Berrellesa Palms project will consist of 48 single-bedroom apartments, providing affordable yet high-quality housing to senior citizens.  Officials say that the construction will utilize several green and pedestrian friendly design features.

The progression of the Palms project is good news for Concord general contractors, and will likely supply jobs to many area sub-contractors, including Oakland plumbers and Oakland electricians.

Berrellesa Palms will rest on an acre of land and will have many amenities, including and exercise room, computer center, meeting rooms, and a library.
