St. Joe, Florida Applies for Port Grant

November 28, 2009 – The St. Joe, Florida Port Authority has applied for $39 million from the American Reinvestment and Renewal Act (ARRA) for construction of a new seaport and business park. If the grant is approved, it is expected that construction will bring over 700 jobs to the region, which will greatly benefit Port Saint Joe construction contractors.

The application for the funding was submitted in September and, if approved, officials are pushing for project completion by February 2012. The seaport and related construction will greatly aid struggling area builders, including Panama City general contractors and Panama City HVAC contractors.
